Bank of Mexico

Another empty gesture by transnationalists who wish to see the concept of our Nation destroyed:

City OKs ID cards for illegal immigrants

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - City officials approved a plan Monday to offer illegal immigrants identification cards that would let them open bank accounts and use other services that may be unavailable without driver's licenses or state-issued IDs.
...
New Haven, a city of about 125,000 and home to Yale University, already offers federal tax help to immigrants and prohibits police from asking about their immigration status.
I hate these "sanctuary cities."
"Sanctuary" cities from Los Angeles to New York will never check a person's immigration status regardless of what Washington passes.

Consider Houston. Its police department's Web site is crystal clear -- in Spanish and English.

"HPD officers are not authorized to arrest or detain a person solely on a belief that the person is in the country illegally," says the online Q&A.
Sanctuary Cities ought to lose all federal aid. Indeed, I'd find ways to actively punish them.

Interesting how towns don't get sued for making up their own policies on facilitating illegal alien invaders, but they do for trying to stop them.
A temporary restraining order prohibiting Farmers Branch officials from enforcing an ordinance that prevents apartments from renting to most illegal immigrants has been extended, according to court documents filed Tuesday.
Back to New Haven,
The aldermen agreed to accept $250,000 from a private foundation to pay for the cards that will serve as identification within city limits. The cards will be available to all residents, and can also be used to get library cards or pay for downtown parking meters.
A "private foundation."

Interesting.

Why are they so coy about which one?

Let me guess, it's a radical left-wing foundation that is working for the destruction of America as we know it?

Probably evil billionaire George Soros money, as we find hints from in a completely different news article:
Wealthy philanthropic foundations are helping bankroll the pro-immigration movement, while groups advocating for tighter control of U.S. borders say they take a more grassroots approach to raising money.

The Ford Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation and Democratic activist George Soros, among other liberal funders, have donated millions of dollars to pro-immigration groups...
Back to New Haven's nifty little idea,
"It seems like the main thing that's going on here is really just a statement by the city that it wishes to subvert U.S. immigration law with a largely meaningless gesture for illegals," he said.
Yep.

But when government fails, the People will act. More and more smaller towns and cities are starting to buck the trend of the "sanctuary cities" and do their own enforcing, in spite of ACLU and Soros interference. An anti-illegal alien invader rally in Hazleton, PA nearly turned into a riot because ordinary Americans are white-hot mad over this issue.

As Police Inspector Kemp said in Young Frankenstein,
A riot is an ugly thing... undt, I tink, that it is chust about time ve had vun!
In Hazletown, PA
HAZLETON – Today’s immigration reform rally was well stocked with law enforcement officers and emergency medical workers, a circumstance that became important when the crowd of several hundred verged on violence.

The peaceful event turned ugly when the crowd began swarming around and yelling at two non-Caucasians who had been incorrectly identified as plaintiffs in a lawsuit challenging the city’s immigration relief act. Epithets of “scum” and “traitor” were hurled at the men, one of whom was Amilcar Arroyo, the president and publisher of a local Spanish-language publication.
This is unfair, but it's a natural outcome of government failing to perform its duties.

This is the same as the impending unnecessary tragedy of trying to ignore the reality of the islamic threat of of trying to bog down Bush's original vision for transforming the Middle East, because the inevitable backlash will ultimately "solve" the problem in a more brutal way.
“Hopefully, you’re going to get brutally beaten,” one man said.

Pamela Hauptmann of Bethlehem and her sister Ciaran Palmer, who lives in New Jersey , became particularly agitated by the presence of the men, confronting and vocally berating them.
...
The rally continued on without incident, but the men’s presence fired up the crowd. Palmer said she and her sister castigated the men “because people like that are used to getting away with it. … They’re used to nice people” not saying anything.

“They need to know they’re going to get a fight,” she said. “We’re not going to lay down for them.”
Another example of the grass roots fighting back is the following.

Bank of America has come under harsh criticism lately for giving credit cards to illegal immigrants, prompting the new derogatory nickname, Bank of Mexico.

They must have received LOTS of complaints, because the CEO felt compelled to write an editorial in the Wall Street Journal explaining their policy and why they shouldn't be single out for what is technically allowed by law, and what other companies are also doing.

That ploy didn't work.

Somebody was going to be made an example of, and it was going to be the Bank of Mexico America.

I personally know many people who summarily cancelled their credit cards with Bank of Mexico and weren't shy about giving the reason. At first, their policy was to transfer such requests to a special supervisor who would try to explain their position.

I recently cancelled my own Bank of Mexico card.

Now they don't even bother trying to talk you out of it.

Astonishingly, they've now simply automated the cancellation process -- just press "2"!

Isn't that extraordinary? I don't recall any other of my credit cards ever having a "cancel now" option in their top-level menu before you even talk to anyone! Their operators must have been getting a lot of abuse, and wasting lots of time. The process is quick and easy.

Take heart!

In spite of MSM propaganda, fighting back does work.

Ultimately, money, which can buy advertising but doesn't cast a vote, can't outweigh the actual Will of the People in our society.
