I don't care if they roll around and foam at the mouth upon hearing those terrible, brutish terms.
Because if they do, they have a mental illness.
This is not just a direct attack on Mom, Dad, and Apple Pie, but a deliberate assault on your freedom of thought.
It is striking at the core of our civilization.
It attempts to enslave your mind.
It is evil and it promulgators need to be eliminated. Really, there's nothing else to do at this point. This must be opposed at all costs.
This must be defied.
They're attacking Mom and Dad, for God's sake!
Why isn't "Other" offensive? They should be burned at the stake for not having a checkbox for every conceivable possible future response, or they're being insensitive!
Why are we letting insane people control society?
Why aren't they concerned that their banishment of the terms Mom and Dad and Marriage and Husband and Wife are DEEPLY OFFENSIVE to ME, huh?
Why doesn't that matter?
Because it's a logically and morally bankrupt position to ferret out "offensiveness" as some kind of right. It's really a quest for power and control.
The most insidious thing about it, is it's driven from what are believed to be good intentions.

EDINBURGH, Scotland, February 16, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Nurses and other health care professionals should avoid using the terms ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ to refer to family relationships since the terms could be offensive to homosexual couples with children, a new directive published by Scotland’s National Health Service recommends.Guess what.

The booklet calls for a “zero-tolerance policy to discriminatory language” among Scotland’s health care system. Included in discriminatory language is the use of terms that assume a traditional family structure of mother, father and children, according to the NHS directive.At a stroke, they are attempting to outlaw even THINKING about "traditional family structure" because the very words to describe it are now "discriminatory."
“Individual circumstances lead to varied family structures and parenting arrangements. It is important to be aware of this. When talking to children, consider using ‘parents‘, ‘carers’ or ‘guardians’ rather than ‘mother’ or ‘father‘.
Along the same lines, the directive points out, use of the terms ‘husband’, ‘wife’ and ‘marriage’ is not acceptable since such terms exclude lesbian, gay and bisexual people.

“Posters with positive images of same-sex couples, alongside similar material depicting opposite-sex couples, should be displayed in all areas e.g. waiting areas, hospital wards.”Isn't it odd how these are the same people that demand strict proportional representation of different races -- or else your're a racist! But here they are demanding at least a 100-times increase in portrayals of same-sex couples raising families over their actual numbers.
In order to better ensure the comfort and security of LGBT people in the health care environment, the NHS calls for sexual identity “monitoring forms” to be included in all registration procedures for both staff and patients. The booklet recommends five reply options to the question of sexual orientation, including ‘Lesbian‘, ‘Gay‘, ‘Bisexual‘, ‘Heterosexual‘, and ‘Other‘. Sections recording gender should be changed to have three reply options, ‘Male‘, ‘Female‘, or ‘Other, “where people can define their own gender.”I'll let that speak for itself.

Among guidelines for implementing pro-LGBT policies in the health care system, the directive requires that management or team leader job descriptions include a mandatory commitment to combating any “discriminatory” language or attitudes among staff.Let the witch-hunts begin!

A couple things strike me odd:
I can’t fathom how the use of the terms “Mom” and “Dad” can be considered “homophobic”. Are we to deny our own identities strictly because they aren’t “alternative” in nature? Is the message that all “traditional” families are homophobic in nature? I am beginning to feel offended by this. Do they care about offending me? No, because apparently only people who live “alternative” lifestyles have the capacity to be offended. Ergo, choosing to live a “traditional” lifestyle (or, as homosexuals claim, being born heterosexual) is equivalent to fear and oppression of all else.
Which leads me to my next oddity: why are we concerned about offending “alternative” lifestyles but not, in the slightest, concerned about offending “traditional” lifestyles? Perhaps some Moms and Dads are offended by the notion of homosexuality. Why is there zero consideration regarding offending them? Is the message that they are not capable of being offended or should be ashamed of such offense? Perhaps they should, but conversely, shouldn’t homosexuals be equally ashamed for being offended by heterosexuality? Isn’t that intolerant of them? And around we go.
Lastly, this has completely busted my brain: ‘Lesbian’, ‘Gay’, ‘Bisexual’, ‘Heterosexual’, ‘Other’. I keep repeating them aloud while counting them on my fingers. What the hell could ‘Other’ possibly be? Animal lovers, perhaps? God forbid we offend them! Pedophiles? Is that even a crime anymore? Polygamists? What in the name of Tim Hardaway could ‘Other’ be and why would we be concerned about offending them?
Man, I need a Tylenol now!
Yes, exactly! Those are all headscratchers that follow directly from this directive! It gets tangled quite fast.
